Welcome to Personal Athens AIDS Walk Page

I am raising awareness and money for the Athens AIDS Walk because I want to fight stigma and end the spread of HIV. The goals of the Athens AIDS Walk is to raise awareness of HIV in our community, to raise money to money to build a healthier community through stable housing, improved health management, strong community outreach and widespread prevention services, ensuring those we help live with dignity and a positive quality of life. Event Information:

Each year Athens and the nine surrounding counties served by Live Forward, formerly AIDS Athens, makes it a priority to raise awareness and funding through our AIDS Walk. Your support of the annual Athens AIDS Walk will truly make a difference in the lives of so many individuals within the Northeast Georgia. The Walk has great support from the community. We receive monetary sponsorships to cover the event costs, but the money raised for critical programming for Live Forward comes from YOU - our WALKERS! All of the money raised by the Athens AIDS Walk stays in Athens and the other nine counties in the Northeast Georgia Health District.

Registration is FREE! However, since we do not charge any registration fees, we ask all our walkers to raise $25 in order to get a 2018 Walk T-Shirt.

Please join us for a fun, interactive, and engaging experience for all ages. We encourage your family, friends, and employees to create a team and walk to make a difference within the community that we all love on November 3, 2018 at 4:00 pm. Registration will begin at 3:00 pm at the 40 Watt.

After the Walk, we ask that you enjoy dinner from a nearby restaurant then return to the 40 Watt for our amazing drag show/dance party.
